Carving Space
I grew up camping and as a landscape photographer I often find myself camping for shots.
With this series however I wanted to turn the lens on myself and my partner; queer, female presenting people holding space in a white, straight male dominated field. I aimed to focus in on the details that make camping, camping while always maintaining a queer lens.
Too often queer love and relationships are forced into secrecy or underrepresented. By capturing an honest window into the simple intimacies that comprise any romantic partnership, I wanted to normalize queer love, a love that is often overlooked.
